Zwiebelfish works with people navigating homelessness, substance recovery, isolation and inequality. Together we’ve written poems, made music and created artworks, sharing them through exhibition in galleries and other venues, bringing hidden voices to the wider world.
Bellwethers exhibition comes to Abbot Hall, Kendal
Our new immersive exhibition of film, sound, poster-poems, and collages (including Kurt Schwitters) opens in Kendal at Abbot Hall, 11th April- 3rd October 2026. Exploring fragility and survival, of nature, of humans. View the project here.
Get in harmony with your deeper nature — join us at Abbot Hall on 16th May, 2-4pm to learn songs based on poems from the project. They’ll be performed by Kendal's Pro Nobis choir with composer Jack McNeill's haunting clarinet accompanying. And with YOU! Feel the power of singing stories from our community, singing from the heart. No musical experience necessary, but enthusiasm a must.
Zwiebelfish has been awarded the Keats-Shelley Association of America Public Engagement Award for our 2023 project, Refuge from the Ravens. We are honoured to accept this award on behalf of the 100+ people with experience of homelessness who rewrote Wordsworth’s Lyrical Ballads.
